Review on 🚲 Effortless Storage Solution: Racor Bike Rack Lifts Ceiling Bicycle Mount 2 Pack by Omar Bloomer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to assemble and install

My ceiling joist was perpendicular to the photo so I used a simple 1"x4" which is more than enough to secure the bike hardware. My bikes weigh about 30 pounds so getting on and off was not a problem. My front pulley tended to go up first when booting, so I just grabbed the front wheel to straighten the bike a bit as I jacked it up. I agree with others that the locking mechanism (the metal tab that pushes against the rope to stop it) will likely wear down the rope over time. Make sure you pull towards the seat to minimize this when lowering. I also see the need for the elastic cord that others have mentioned for the flat L-shaped hooks on the seat just for peace of mind in case the bike gets jostled to hold it in place. The only thing I would like to mention is yes the supplied 2" screws are crap as they still came out badly with the new bit in the drill and pilot holes (that's a 1 x 4" Jaw!). As others have said, just go to a hardware store and get much better screws. Overall it took me 3 hours from start to finish to install both bikes, most of which involved measuring and marking the ceiling joist (I attached the board to the three joists myself and installed the bike gear on the board myself.) Also the instructions on 1 page, although sufficient, leaves something to be desired, I had to find a picture on the internet to find out a few things I needed to know about the angle of the rope and how to properly thread the rope onto the front locking pulley. Hope this helps someone else!
