The pump works well and is very quiet. The problem with this is the outlet fitting (threaded gray plastic adapter shown) which uses straight threads on both the male and female threads, making it unsuitable for connection to tapered pipe fittings. (Note that this is a very common problem with Chinese-made devices.) While it screws easily onto the pump's male outlet nipple, there's no way to make a watertight connection, and so water was splashing everywhere when I did it tried.
