I needed something STRONG that could hold my phone upright in the car under normal driving conditions when my phone keeps falling off my previous 4 magnet mount. That's how I found this version with 8 magnets. Pros: The 8 magnets provide a very strong magnetic hold and work well in most driving conditions, except for really hard hits on potholes/bumps etc. The only thing that is stronger is Wixgear's rectangular model with 10 magnets. As long as your mounting surface is clean (and has NEVER been treated with Armor All), the double-sided tape is strong and secure. So if you're looking for something stronger than the standard 4 magnetic mounts, this will likely be on your list. Cons: As seen in the photo, the rubber surface can get pretty tired and ugly with use. It's also not exactly thin (0.47 inches). It has a certain volume. It may not look good in situations where aesthetics are important. Based on the way the magnets are placed within the square, it's possible that the manufacturer will add 2-4 more magnets to make the product even stronger (i.e. the arrangement of the magnets doesn't use the space very efficiently) . in the mount, which may make it bulkier than necessary).
