Review on Convenient 6 Pack Small Digital Kitchen Timer with Magnetic Back, ON/Off Switch, and Count Up/Countdown Features by Amy Dixon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Update: Narrow viewing angle

Update: I like using AA lithium batteries around the house. They last a lot longer. After battle with narrow viewing angle (displays all "8" all LED segments are on). I've noticed that maybe due to the extra power from the lithium battery, all segments of the LED light up with more vigour, forcing you to look at the display at a very narrow angle to see the timer value? I swapped it out for a regular alkaline battery and now the PC screen viewing angle is normal! If they get a stronger magnet now, it's 5 stars. First Review: Both photos show the timer set to 1 minute. If you don't hold it at a right angle, you'll only see the number 8 for all numbers. The magnet is strong enough to only hold it when there is no battery inside. (Mistake of a novice engineer not considering the total weight used?) If you have a spare neodymium magnet, plan on using it. I love that it doesn't just count down (like a kitchen timer). You can also use it to count (like a stopwatch) to show elapsed time in minutes and seconds.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
