First off, it's SO brilliant! The rhinestones are close together and look way better than I expected. I wasn't expecting much given the price. I love changing my dogs collars, so there's no point in buying $100 rhinestone collars every few months. I prefer cheap ones that I know won't last forever if they look good for a few months. My Pitbull has been wearing it for about 3 weeks now and it still has all the rhinestones on it (although she scratches it with her claws in the morning). It's not velvet, but it looks. It's more like a thick strip of foam, almost like the sole of a flip-flop. This is a wide band that tapers at the buckle and holes. I recommend making sure you buy the right size (don't go up). I have one a little too big - but it fits the first two holes - so it takes away most of the tapered part and makes it wider under her neck. If it were smaller and buttoned at the end, it wouldn't be so baggy around her neck. It's okay, but it looks uncomfortable.
