My husband and I live in an apartment in the old town. Unfortunately there was a huge gap under our front door. The gap was big enough that I could put my flat hand under the door (see picture above). Our front door leads to a corridor, but also in this case cold air came out of the gap because the corridor is not heated and the outside door is in the corridor. We also had problems with bugs getting under the crack and into our apartment. After reading many reviews, we ordered this "Huge Door Gap Draft Restrictor" to solve the door gap problems. We are very happy with this product! (See after the picture.) It was very easy to install. only took about 3 minutes! This gave the door a finished look and was effective too. First I cleaned the underside of the door where the glue might have touched, my husband measured the length and trimmed the excess material off the end cap. He used ordinary household scissors and was able to cut it easily. He removed the bureaucratic tape from the adhesive and attached the stopper to the door. The gap was about 1 inch and the cork covered the entire gap with ease. He also said the glue was very sticky. He came with a bundle of heavy nails which he hammered into the door. Some reviewers said they didn't use nails because the glue was very strong, but since they were included we used them in our installation. The draft that passed under the door stopped immediately! The cork formed a very tight seal. I am also sure that this will prevent insects from entering our apartment. We are happy with our purchase and would recommend it to others with door issues!
