Sorry they accidentally sent me a size small. My dog is about 55 pounds and needed a larger size. I couldn't wait for the replacement, so due to the small size, I put an adhesive pad in the middle of each pad. It definitely improved his ability to get up and walk without falling onto the hardwood floor. Just trimming all the hair on the bottom of his feet made a big difference, so I knew it would help. Bigger pads would have helped with traction even more, but I suspect the pad edges would have come off even faster since they would have been at the very edge of his pads. Although I thoroughly cleaned and dried each of his paw pads with alcohol, these sticks on the pads came off very quickly when the dog had to go outside and they were exposed to the wet grass/ground. This dog is fifteen years old and moves very slowly, so not like a young dog walking around in the garden. These pads are worth it if you don't mind changing them every day or two, but it gets pricey in a rush.
