Review on 💪 Compact and Powerful: The Olympus L400 Ultra-Compact Microcassette Recorder by Vincent Poolaw

I have bought L400 and 500 recorders and am disappointed with the sound quality of both. The 500 had a really "tinny" sound, unsuitable for dictation. The 400 has a loud motor hum on playback (which doesn't happen when I play the same tape on a Sony recorder) and a similar tinny sound. Olympus voice recorders appear to be well built, compact and great devices. But the sound quality is worse, so I don't recommend it until Olympus makes it better. My various Sony recorders are so superior in sound quality that Olympus should be ashamed. Is my experience unique?
