I just wanted a basic router - nothing fancy but short range. The router might be fine, but it comes with that ripped armor that's more annoying than any malware I've come across. Check the internet. There are so many people who are trying so desperately to get rid of it but can't. Those who use it find that it restricts their access to the internet without finding out why. I figured out how to turn it off but I still get all these messages about one level or another. One user called Netgear and asked how to disconnect it from the router and was told he would have to pay for it. So Netgear wants a ransom so you can get rid of all this. So you still want to get that router. What I did was launch it and go to Home -> Settings -> Security where you can turn off the armor. Don't experiment with turning it on until you've had a chance to make sure you like the router. Do not download BitDefender until you are sure. I heard after those 30 days they want $70 a year for the armor. At the moment I'm hesitant to just send it back. I had it within 1 day and I'm 50/50 to return it. I don't need software to do things for me without giving me a choice. But I am. Be sure to research Armor before ordering this router. And find out more about Bitdefender. I used this for a year and changed it, but I don't remember why. It could be great.
