I use this slicer for slicing strawberries in bulk for my dehydrator. The slicers that use wires did not hold up, failing after only a few pounds sliced, and it takes forever to use a knife. I needed something better, and this is indeed better.The Good: It slices with authority, chewing through crates of strawberries. No more wondering if my slicer will hold up!The Bad: The narrow handle allows the blades to slice into the plastic if you are off center. I use both hands - not for power, for control.The Ugly: The serrated blades tend to collect and hold strawberry seeds, cleaning it requires a brush.There may be something better for slicing strawberries, but this will do fine for now.
