This is the first CD slot phone mount I've tried. I can't install the vent on my new machine like before so I had to find another solution. The CD mount is the best place I can find as the dash is tilted and the dash mount is difficult to reach. (I've also had issues with dash mounts not sticking after a while, so I don't like them.) The mount itself stays securely in place, which is good. I don't use a CD player so I don't mind taking this seat, although it might be an issue for some people. The connector twists fairly easily to allow the phone to be turned in any direction, but not so easily that it doesn't fall off when the phone is in place. The only issue I have with this mount is the strength of the magnet. I put a metal plate inside the phone case (it's thin and didn't have any issues with my previous magnetic mount). The connection to the mount is secure enough to keep the phone in place, but it's easy to jam. When I touch my phone, it moves on the mount and requires my attention to make sure it doesn't fall or change position. Since the CD player (and thus the cradle) is under the car's touchscreen, when changing radio stations on the touchscreen I often bump the top of the phone and knock the phone out of the cradle. A stronger or larger magnet will help hold the phone in place better.
