Excellent for sealing aluminum engine cases

I have seen the Lycoming Aircraft Company use this method to seal their engine cases. So I decided I would give it a try. I used this thread to seal a leaking release bearing plate on an aluminum case transmission. I used the matching Loctite 519 with a single thread around the outside, screwed the cap on by hand and waited 24 hours. I then tightened the cap to specification. no more river
