Review on ๐Ÿšฐ Linden Champagne Pivoting CZ Faucet 79450 by Harald Patterson

Looks good but not very durable.

The first of these Delta Linden toilet paper holders, which lasted us about three years before falling into disrepair. We bought it new as a replacement and the second one didn't even last a year. Had the same problem with both. The reason for this is that the entire functionality of the swingarm depends on a small plastic ring with a very thin bridge placed between two moving metal parts. Bad design decision by Delta to use plastic there because it obviously wears out. See my photos. If the piece breaks, the hand is very loose. It still works by holding the paper roll in place. But every time you raise your hand to switch roles, the hand falls to the ground. And depending on how damaged it is, even pulling the paper will move the hand to unfold it and it will fall out. Very annoying. Replacing the part itself costs only 25 cents. But of course Delta isn't the only one selling this piece. You need to buy a whole replacement block. It seemed like a waste of time so I just super glued it on which lasted about 6 months and at this point it was even worse than before. Knowing I needed to replace it, I found out that Linden used to stock a spring version of this, but they discontinued it in favor of a swingarm. I couldn't find this spring version for sale anywhere. I am currently looking for another range or brand of spring loaded holders to match the Linden lights we have in our bathroom. I won't make the same mistake if I buy it a third time.
