I bought it to prepare a large number of people for the wedding in a short time. I've never done gel nails before so keep that in mind as you read this. . All layers (base, color, top) were easy to apply. You have to apply a coat of color twice because it doesn't stay perfectly pigmented the first time. Also, while I was trying to do other fingers on this hand, the color seemed to want to pull inward. It will peel off the edges and most of the color will fade. So you have to work fast and almost always need a second coat. I love the matte top. They are a VERY shiny color so the matte color tones them down and makes the colors more acceptable to me. My only complaint is that they are pretty easy to remove. In the past, when I applied gel in salons, you had to wet your nails so the nail polish was loose enough to pull off the nail. Not with these. The paint comes off fairly easily if you have a thin nail that needs to be tucked under the polish. It felt like removing about 8 coats of regular nail polish. Totally satisfied, I will continue to use
