My daughter started getting out of her crib before she was a year old. At night I teach nursing students from my home and my husband is out with the military. Both kept her from falling and me from going insane. I put it in the crib and put the sticks so they touch the floor and then put the crib mattress inside. The pages will be securely tied to the edge of the crib. All straps are outside the mesh so there is no choking hazard. I was hesitant to buy this because I saw some security warnings on other websites, but after using it for the past 5 months I can safely say I don't see any real security issues. It's safer than a thin, breathable mesh bumper. All the zippers work great and my baby Houdini keeps them in the crib. To win.
