Review on πŸ’» TECHNI MOBILI Modus Metal Computer Student Laptop Desk: Sleek & Sturdy Graphite Design by Heather Jackson

The low price corresponds to the quality, the drawer almost doesn't open.

The basic design of this table was exactly what I was looking for and the price was great, but the materials and quality control are poor. It arrived with a broken piece on one side of the box. The rupture revealed that it consisted of a thin sheet of plastic encasing a compressed paper product (not even chipboard, but soft cardboard). We had to glue the pieces together before the box could be assembled. One of the lug nuts had snapped off, so I had to go to the hardware store. Finally, as another reviewer pointed out, there were no pilot holes to mount the drawer, and after two hours of repairing and replacing faulty components, my husband (who's been a builder for 35+ years and is a "bitch") muttered. t in one go through the whole process) was finally enough and he announced that we will finish the assembly tomorrow after we bring the drill. The slides are not long enough to open the drawer more than halfway - the open drawer you see in the photo is fully extended. What? About that? The drawer was one of the main features of this desk and it literally opens only 6 inches.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Long Wait
