I was a bit skeptical about this shift knob after reading some reviews but decided to pull the trigger as my old AutoZone was worn and not looking good. When I got this I read a few reviews on how to install it to make sure it makes contact with the boat. Best rating from a guy on a '94 Honda with a vise. Since I didn't have a vise, the next best thing was to twist the plastic coated switch down and it just went off on my end by itself with a little torque. I'll probably cut that explanation off, but it's hard to explain without showing someone how to do it. I have it as close to the trunk as possible and just need to find some glue to attach it to the shift knob. I give it 5 stars because it's a much better setup than my last shift knob. Tip, don't buy a store-bought gear knob, do a little research, you won't regret it. Otherwise your mileage may vary if you have a different vehicle. I have a 2013 Mazda 3 for those who have a Mazda.
