It prevents the adapter from loosening the sling attachment point on Caldwell bipods, allowing it to be attached at a 45° angle forward or backward. It is possible to change the mounting location of the bipod. and since this is the only item I could find, you can convert it to a QD belt adapter. It is what it is.
