Exactly what I expected. I read reviews that said it cracked or broke when not in use. That is a tree. If wood is not treated and left unattended, it will not last long. I put a few good coats of boiled linseed oil on mine, it works well on my axe, shovel and rake handles. Repeat at least once per season. HAPPY BBQ!
