The product delivered differs slightly from the description. Instead of plastic inserts that hold the hose open when the compression fitting is tightened, the hoses come with brass inserts. It would be great if the brass inserts were big enough to stay in the tube when pointing down, but these inserts are too small in diameter to drop out. The water connection on my refrigerator points upwards. So if I tried to connect a hose to my fridge, the insert would fall into the connector and render my ice maker unusable. Save yourself the headache and buy a braided cord instead.
