Deceptive Computers and Accessories

Plugged it in and cranked it up and I was shocked that at "2500rpm" the fans weren't just throwing air out. Starting to be a bit hesitant, Mai turned on Afterburner and ran into some CPU/GPU temp charts on my Lenovo Y50-70, and was loading 85-92C during stress testing and idle temp was around 45-48C before It started. With the laptop off, let it cool for a few hours and then turn it on at full blast (which is surprisingly quiet for 5 fans; you can hear them when there's nothing on the deck, but they dampen well when your laptop is actually on) Run it for 5 minutes (to simulate "sit there" conditions, like I just got home from work) and the idle temperature was 38-41C. I ran the stress tests again and mine Gosh, while they can't safely lift a piece of paper off the deck, they got my temp down to 76-79C. One core got hot up to 82C but overall I saw a 10 degree difference. After that, I decided to overclock the processor and graphics card, increasing the processor frequency from 3.4 to 3.6 GHz to increase the temperature under load (without overvoltage) by 5 ° C. ) and the GPU clock increased by 125, and the memory clock increased by 325, and I also increased the temperature by 5-7 degrees. The design seems odd because it's a mix of plastic and metal mesh, but it feels solid enough. If you don't support it at least 1 time, the airflow doesn't seem to be that good. The backlighting of the fans cannot be switched off, but decorative elevators on the front can. In general I am very satisfied so far. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for extra cooling.
