At first I thought I couldn't wear them. I followed the directions on the packaging and they felt very tight but offered great compression. I decided to try and wash them. They are thick and of very good quality and get lighter with each use. I have the legless ones which I recommend as they are a bit long - I'm 5ft 7" and ordered XL, they are a bit longer. You must continue to pull the fabric where is most comfortable, otherwise the fabric may gather around the back of your knees, which can cause pain because they are tight. The compression is probably the best out there, but it takes some getting used to. A nice side effect is how slim they are. I see when people give up and send them back, but it really gets better, maybe they'll loosen up a bit, or maybe tighten them up better and get used to the compression. Another product I like for footed tights is the Hue brand. They are thinner and offer less compression than these, but are a bit easier to put on and very comfortable.
