I hate disturbing others, especially in the kitchen when I'm fiddling with a cup of coffee. I installed this next to the coffee maker facing the door. Now as soon as I walk in the door the light comes on and the coffee maker comes on. I grab my cup, fill it up and head to my work/office where I can enjoy my first sips and unwind before a busy day. I'm downstairs in the main kitchen making breakfast for the whole family. Before I got this, I almost always missed the light switch in the kitchen in our apartment and hit something that she could hear from the other side of the apartment. She says thank you! The light is strong enough to see what I'm doing and 20 seconds after I leave, the light goes out. It also has a sensor so the light doesn't turn on when the ambient light exceeds a certain level, saving batteries. . I installed it about a month ago and so far the light is as strong as when it started. This is ideal for those who need softer instant light without having to turn the light on. The only thing I haven't tried is hanging my coffee cup on hooks as my cup is quite heavy. Great for any use you can think of.
