Does not taper to be best for home brewing and winemaking
They have a thin stem at the beginning, then an edge for the rest of the stem. So they fit freely into the sleeve in the lid, but the shoulder prevents them from entering the sleeve because that is too large a change in diameter. I was able to force one so I could get a good seal, but I may have to drill the other cap a bit to get it tight. Otherwise it's a normal airlock.
