I bought these candles and used Amazon batteries. The first week worked great. They even turned on by themselves at night and turned off all by themselves after a timer I set. I didn't even know they do that. But now, after a month or so, they won't turn on unless I bang them on the table a few times or tap the battery cover. Something about a tap turns them on. It worked for a while and now some of them don't even stay on for 2 minutes. This is incredibly frustrating and I'm so disappointed. Edit September 10th: I emailed them about my problem, they offered to send me a new box for free. Hooray! Then I received them today and they are terrible. 4 of them melted. One of them was really dirty around the battery terminals. And the other one already had dead batteries that fell out when I picked it up. They packed and sent me broken candles. Rating changed to one star.
