Good monitor at a good price

I will precede this review with a description of the parameters by which this product works: price-quality. This is not a product halo, not the best of the best. But then he doesn't compete in this class. Viotek strives to offer a wide range of features at an affordable price and they have succeeded in doing so. ) and does not promote HDR. I'm not familiar enough with this particular feature, so I'll consider it a nice bonus and leave it at that. In terms of contrast, it has the usual advantages of a VA panel, and colors look great, especially in low light. Colors are rich and beautiful, color reproduction isn't as accurate as IPS, so don't buy this monitor if you're into video editing, Photoshop, etc. like a pro. In terms of speed, it works well up to 144Hz, but not at medium overdrive settings. notice any problems. Beware of high frequencies, ghosting is bad and you shouldn't increase the speed. For the design, it is simple and convenient. Nothing fancy, but that means a compromise has been made to give you a better display. It's worth it. The menu is clumsy but useful. OK. Hardware Requirements: This is Ultrawide 1440p, you output significantly more pixels than standard 1440p, a little under half between that and 4k. You need a reliable graphics card if you plan to game at high settings and beyond. Right now on AMD it really means 5700xt, maybe 5700. Or VII if you already have it. Even then you're nervous, and I say that as the proud owner of a 5700xt. I expect RDNA2 will handle this resolution like a champ, but it's not out yet. For Nvidia 2070 Super at least and higher. The 3080 should handle those frames if you can find them, I suspect the 3070 will too if the performance rumors are true. On GPUs with less than 8GB of VRAM, you may have trouble playing the game at higher settings. So don't pair this monitor with anything below the mid-range as a long-term solution. Final Thoughts: For the base price, that's good. Experience, a solid compromise if you have money to spend on something else e.g. a GPU. This monitor is great for gaming and good enough for some productivity. Not recommended if you will primarily be using color sensitive work, otherwise recommended.

Pros
  • 100 Hertz
Cons
  • Overheating: If the monitor is not properly ventilated, it can overheat and cause performance issues.
