Buyers may regret this, but I will not keep these cords in my house. I originally bought them for DC, to make them work, it's dangerous to have them for someone who is unfamiliar with polarity issues and might be using them for something else. The provider must either depolarize the female end (so a polarized AC device cannot be plugged in) or polarize the male end. Either-or, this combination of a non-polarized plug and polarized jack can connect and reverse polarized AC equipment, which in some cases could result in a fire or electric shock. I'm shocked by the overwhelming majority of positive reviews.
