I purchased these to try to keep water on top of slideout from puddling up when it rains and coming in on the Schwintek motors. These are the slideout's with the 2 zigzag tracks, one mounted on top and one mounted on bottom of exterior part of slideouts. I have had to replace 2 pair of these motors in 3 years and this gets expensive. The Solera Slideout Awning hopefully will help with this problem. It is a great looking product and easy to install. I just wish it had a little more side coverage for my width of slideout. My width fell at the bottom end of the model that would work for me so it is basically flush with the edges of my slideout which will probably allow some rain in on the sides. I first ordered next size up which would of give me about 3 inches of overhang on each side but would not work because the octagon rods on the mounting brackets were to short to reach the roll tube when mounted in the recommended position. The shorter size I had to use did have a better mounting bracket design that allowed slope height adjustment rear to front of the topper for better drainage.
