Review on πŸ”§ Ultra-Portable Astro Pneumatic 101 Mini Grease Gun: Precision Lubrication on the Go by Michael Finnegan

Great product put a smile on my face

What a great product. After buying one, I bought 2 more for different lubes. Typically, the grease gun fits over the transom fitting and rests on the rubber gasket. This grease gun presses a small ball on the end of a Zerk fitting with a point and creates a seal by making contact between the body of the Zerk ball and the point of its needle. This works much better. The grease does not flow out the sides, which means that the grease is not affected and dirt can collect, like with a conventional grease gun. The chamber that contains the fat uses the vacuum created by pumping the handle to move the fat up. I prefer these traditional spring designs because they push the grease through the piston plate over time, causing the grease to end up on the wrong side of the piston and sometimes dripping onto my bottom. Not this grease gun, this one is extremely efficient, easy to use and the cleanest I've seen. Unlike a traditional grease gun, it can be used for tasks other than lubricating Zerk fittings. I use it to lubricate cup and cone bearings on my bike. The tip of the needle allows for very precise and accurate application of lubricant. I can't stress enough how awesome it is to be able to lube things without smearing lube all over. Best of all, it's about 1/4 the cost of regular auto parts. It pays to keep a grease gun.

Pros
  • Easy to use needle attachment
Cons
