Doesn't work if you don't have a VIN/Odometer

Your time. This unit arrived on time, well packaged, looked good. I installed it and it seemed to work, but I suspect that when it started it didn't have the VIN number or the correct number in the BIOS and it cut the engine and the security icon on the dash lit up. Starts, runs 3 seconds, security - turns off. Sent back and bought from SOLO Auto Electronics. It came preinstalled with MY VIN and mileage, came with a defect, I got one so good I was able to remove and replace this unit in 15 minutes. Block exchanged and so far so good. I had to hook up the old one to the Chrysler dealer for $300 for diagnostics, they told me the ECU was faulty, a replacement was fitted for $1400.00. Lots of headaches and frustration but I did it myself and saved about 800.00. I found out that this is all a conversion. If you find a new one, it will be very rare. If whoever you're buying this from doesn't offer to pre-program your VIN and mileage, it probably won't work in your Chrysler product. (longer than 3 seconds) Good luck and sorry your stuff is broken.
