I've been using GasKnight 1.0 for the last few years and then found out about version 2.0. The product looks elegant and almost imitates other home automation products. Gas detection in the kitchen. According to the manufacturer, it should be 3 feet below the ceiling for natural gas. In case of an alarm, it shows the percentage detected, which is a big improvement over version 1.0. The mute button is on the unit, which hangs high from the ceiling. I'm wondering how I'm going to muffle the 85dB sound. I would suggest that unplugging or leaking the gas is the first best option. The display is slightly dimmed showing that all 7 segments of the display are slightly illuminated. It's ok in the dark, but with the lights on in the kitchen it's a little hard to figure out. Overall, it's a nice improvement and a simple setup that deserves a 5-star rating.
