This is the first time I've seen a head with this design. It has a magnet on the back and inside the glass. I was skeptical it would hold up but my boy crawled over it with big turbines and the thing didn't budge. I love that it has this feature because I hate getting the power heads out of the stand or trying to reattach the magnets. You simply pull it forward and put it back on. The drive head is very easy to clean and maintain. How does it work? EXCELLENT! It really moves a lot of water for such a small device. It has a very easy to use application as well as a controller. I put it on the pulse setting and it creates nice ripples on the water. It also comes with 3 different flow guides which is good if you want to change your water flow. Overall I'm very happy with the small design. , powerful water movement and easy to set up, use and maintain.
