Thought the protection had expired. I dunked it about 8 inches completely in my sump and shut off the pumps because we were going out of town for three days. When I came back almost all the water in my swamp had evaporated (I have no idea how hot it is). the water came from we left the water behind to try and stop the smoke after we turned everything off) This heater was COMPLETELY MELT, THE BODY BOILED WATER IN MY SUMM. Now I need to drain my entire sump, replace all filters, replace my return pump, protein skimmer, all media and possibly the sump altogether because everything smells like melted plastic and I doubt it's good for my corals. previous Heaters Holy Smoke I'm so glad I still have a home! This heater is about 6 weeks old.
