Review on 🚲 Saris H3 Direct Drive Smart Indoor Cycling Trainer by Jared Coleman

I'm so lucky to get a smart trainer. I hate the thought of driving inside but. Coronavirus. I received the machine a day earlier than Revain originally predicted. Thanks Revin Unpacking and installation was easy. Adding a cassette is easy. Got my first ride within 30 minutes of unboxing. The feeling of the trip was VERY real. I felt like I was riding outdoors and the performance metrics matched my outdoor stats perfectly. Then problems. History: 04/24/20. I assembled the unit following the instructions and took a short (30 minute) ride. On April 25, I drove 1.5 hours. Both rides were comfortable and there were signs of functional problems. 4/28 I noticed a clicking noise coming from the trainer as soon as my ride started. It was intermittent and not very noticeable between gear changes and the loud music I was playing. However, when I cranked up the power (around 300 watts), I noticed a "grinding" noise. It increased in frequency and volume as I drove further, and was most noticeable in short bursts when the power was increased. When I finished my ride (with intermittent coasting), I also noticed a cyclic beep; like a belt sliding on metal or dirt rubbing against something. It was very similar to the sound you hear when you have junk in a road bike tire and you are "flat". 4/30 (only 4th time using the machine) as soon as I pressed there was a click/thump combined with a squeak and also a grinding noise as I started pedaling. 5/1 reported the above information. for sari support. They don't answer calls (coronavirus) so I sent an email. 5/9 I did not receive confirmation that my email was received. No phone contact, nothing. So I really want to keep this trainer but when the corona virus has severely impacted phone and email support I'm really not sure if they can handle customer service when people are in the office. I would not recommend buying this product unless you buy it direct from a bike shop or somewhere else that can provide assistance if needed.
