Unfortunately I have tallow which quickly turns jewelry green or black leading me to spend good money on cheap items. I was looking for a silver find to fix my favorite necklace after buying a cheap lobster clasp at my local craft store and it came back to me within a week. It is definitely a real sterling and worth the price.
