When I'd burned enough stovetop tea kettles, I decided I needed a small electric one. This is perfect. Just the right size for two cups (or 1.5 mugs), it doesn't take long to boil, it's quiet yet you hear the boiling just before the pot turns itself off (clue: time to pour!) Its footprint on a small counter is small as well. If we ever go back to working in the office, its footprint on my desk will be minimal so I can be drinking tea all day. The only potential pitfall is that when washing for the first time, the spout was so sharp I cut my finger. I'm more careful with it now. All in all a very satisfactory purchase.
