We have become parents for the first time and have realized how exhausting it is to travel with a child! We have been on several trips and our LO has slept in the bassinet of her Vista Cruz. However, we decided she needed something a little more spacious so called ahead of time some of the hotels we stayed in and asked if they had cots for the room. For some reason they were always unavailable during our stay so we decided to give the travel cot a closer look. Pros: Easy to set up, easy to pack, carrycot insert fits inside a bed sheet; Our daughter seemed to enjoy it and slept in it without hesitation. Cons: It takes up space. It's wide when packed for travel. I'd say it's the equivalent of one and a half carry-on bags in size. It's a bit heavy and the bassinet insert is hanging with the LO in there. Like I said, great for road trips; If you have trunk I don't think it will work; If you are arriving by plane, it will definitely be a hassle to lug yourself through the airport.
