So my experience is in information technology and I have installed many types of IP cameras. They can usually be easily set up from the phone; Put your phone in airplane mode, connect Wi-Fi to the camera's built-in peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, follow the prompts, and you should have a working camera. I set up a lot of zmodo, sometimes it's not smooth the first time, but it should be if you repeat these steps. Their cloud service (for live viewing) is pretty good and 36 hours of free alarm clips are great. The BAD thing is that the motion alerts are pretty patchy, you'll miss things that don't work. If you pay for their 7-day plan, you get everything (not just traffic). Your customer service is BAD, prepare to go it alone. Tried connecting via chat twice to see if motion detection could be improved but waited with no response. You also do NOT have direct access to the IP camera, so you cannot use it to record to an NVR or software NVR like the others. They're best suited for inexpensive live view via a nifty web app - if they ever come together in motion recording and get better support I'd recommend them. At the moment I would recommend them more for selective use, e.g. B. to check your pet or the workplace than as a complete security solution.
