I have a feeling my item is from a strange seller because mine didn't come in a box like some people do and didn't come with instructions. Just Angry Mama herself in plastic wrap. But it looks the same as everyone else, so I don't think it's fake. It's just kinda weird. Anyway, I looked online for directions, filled it with white vinegar and water (you'll have to remove your hair and head to see the waterline) and microwaved it for 7 minutes. I saw it last minute or so and didn't see a single stream. When I opened the microwave it seemed to me that a mixture of vinegar and water was dripping through the holes in the top and no steam. The handles were nice and cool to take out of the microwave but the rest was very hot so be careful when handling. Most things rubbed off my microwave quite easily, but some stains on the glass top weren't removed with a simple paper towel. So I'm not sure if it's as effective as they claim, but for a few bucks I don't regret buying it.
