Review on MSI B450 Gaming PRO Carbon MAX WiFi: Ultimate Performance Gaming Motherboard with AMD Ryzen Support, M.2, USB 3.2, HDMI, and Wi-Fi by Jeb Moorehead

I bought this board assuming the MSI spec page is correct and the board is compatible with my Ryzen 3600X CPU compatible. Unfortunately, this was probably the most annoying and spirited build I've put together in the 20+ years that I've had the pleasure of building systems for customers. I'm embarrassed to be honest because after reading and looking at the reviews on the Ryzen platform I complimented this build to my client and now I'm stuck trying to fix it by buying another board /buy another brand. loading problem. No ad, no post, just a red CPU light on the phone. I investigated BIOS updates and found that this board has a dedicated USB port and button to "future proof" it and allow the use of new Ryzen versions. The MSI site was totally lacking in documentation and guides, so I ended up like any good techie. , Watch YouTube. I found a few people who have successfully used the Flashback feature to download the latest BIOS (v18) from the MSI website. It worked somehow. I was able to post once after the BIOS was flashed (with little to no confirmation with lights or sounds that it was over). I managed to get into the BIOS and configure a few simple settings. reboot and nothing. I had to reset CMOS. This time I booted up and chose the factory settings. I managed to reboot (not shut down) and install Windows 10 from my USB stick. Installed drivers, updates, windows etc. Rebooted after driver, no problems. Turned off the system, turned off the power, waited about a minute. Powered on again and $!@$%, the red CPU light is on all the time. No ad, no mail, nothing. I tried turning it off multiple times but couldn't get the system to resend the message. All their forums have the same story. AVOID this 450 series from MSI and look elsewhere. I've been using their board for ages on the Intel side and I still love them, but the BIOS/Ryzen 3600/No Post situation is completely ridiculous!
