Review on 🩹 Mepitac 298400 Soft Silicone Tape, 1-1/2" x 59" - Advanced Gentle Skin Adhesive for Wound Dressing by Gary Reed

This stuff really works for me. My scar is an ugly straight line of Frankenstein stitches. Luckily, the surgery that caused this scar was done on a flat, hard spot—just above my sternum—so the band-aid lay flat. I wear the tape almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, only taking it off to shower and when I'm wearing something like a tank top and the tape is more visible than the scar. That was not always so. Before I started using medical tape my scar was quite raised and red. Now it's flatter and lighter. This change only lasted about a week. The only downside is that it hurts a little when I peel off the tape - it sticks! Also, in the 6 weeks I've been using I've never had to cut a second piece; it just keeps working. I wash it with my fingers and some soapy water and rinse it out. I let it dry over a towel on a rack and in no time it's dry and ready to glue. I can't see how I'm ever going to use up every foot and a half.
