Does not supply low-voltage devices! The automatic tripping current is set too high!

I bought this to power an Arduino project that draws ≈25mA at 5V and this adapter powers it for about 5 seconds and then turns off. It will also not power my Uniden BCD436HP scanner for the same reason as the scanner only draws 30-40mA over USB. It seems to charge my iPhone well (at 2.25A). This appears to be a design choice/fault in the adapter that requires a sufficiently strong current to stay on. Turning on the light does not force the USB power to stay on. Buyer Warning.
