The 6' length and eagle topper are what drew me to this flag pole. A 6' pole is ideal for a 3' x 5' American flag. The flag attachment pieces provided allow the flag to freely fly around the pole without getting hung up. This pole was replacing an older 5' pole that was too short and didn't allow for the flag to fly without getting hung up, thus, I didn't need to install the mounting bracket that was provided. My four star rating is due to the five pieces that make up the actual pole. When mounting my flag to the pole, the pole pieces kept coming apart causing me to worry that they'd do so in the wind and my flag would go flying down the street. Just to be on the safe side, I applied Gorilla Glue to each of the connections.
