After the first rain, the lid filled an inch with water coming in from behind. Leaving water inside would be terrible for the tire and would defeat the purpose. I put 3 spouts on the bottom to allow the water to drain.2. Easily untied with a rope that is too smooth. I had to tie strings to keep it from falling off, making a tight fit useless.3. He disappears quickly. Just a month later, in the back of our RV, the blacks turned purple and the tans turned white. I do not recommend buying.
