The color is nice and it works as promised except it doesn't get as hot as the smaller versions. Food usually just sits there while it cooks. With the smaller version, it takes a little longer to get the same results. Originally bought to cook for my family on a larger scale rather than using the mini version a dozen times. I hope this helps with making quesadillas. I recommend if you understand from the start that it will be less effective than its mini version so you don't get disappointed like me.
