Review on πŸ“ž Nucleus Anywhere Comms Amazon N1001R31B by David Dortch

Ideal for seniors with memory loss or confusion

I chose Nucleus over Show because my mom needed something simple. I needed an answering machine because she doesn't know electronics. I only needed one function because any other could confuse them. Needless to say, we don't use Alexa, but the remote intercom feature is great. This is exactly what we needed. The picture is clear enough, the sound is good and it's easy for mom to understand, especially since she doesn't have to do anything to answer when I call. Everything sounds clear, like on a landline phone. In fact, the stepfather thought the two were related and asked if he should pick up the phone to talk. It is great! As for the installation, I haven't had a chance to do it; My brother did it. He said it was easy. UPDATE 6/11/17: Just wanted to add that my mom called the Nucleus app on my phone and it rang the same as my phone. I thought it was just a push notification but no, it actually rang. Only the ringtone was different. UPDATE 7/28/17: My Nucleus died about a month after we started using it. I have no idea what happened. Nucleus immediately sent me a new one which I put on. My brother forgot his home code and I was in too much of a hurry to get him to check his email to find him so I set up a new home code. It's easy to set up for most people, but my mom could never do it. The new Nucleus works well, but I'm deducting a star for the short lifespan of the first one.
