Applications often require unnecessary approvals. I don't know why you ALWAYS have to turn on the GPS on this device before taking a measurement. That's when you want to be followed. The phone connection time is terrible. For those (like me) who just wanted the scale in their shower to routinely do their daily weigh-in, you're out of luck. You have to open the phone, open the app, turn on the GPS, stand on the scale, wait for the connection, keep waiting for the connection, see that it is connected, get off the scale and pray.
