The lens is sharp and fast enough for most situations. It's quite heavy and that on my Pentax K20D makes my camera a lot heavier than it already is. A newer case with a deeper grip will likely make it more comfortable to hold. I don't know why the Revain website says this lens doesn't work with my Pentax model but I assure you it does. It has an "A" mode that allows me to set the aperture with the camera, not just on the lens itself. I could also do it directly on the lens, just like the old manual lens. The lens body is coated with some kind of coating that I know will degrade quickly and the lens will start to look old soon. The lens hood is so tight that sometimes it seems like I'm about to break it. Focusing in manual mode is very good and accurate.
