Ideal for lifts - if you have a 54" Smittybilt, the base is too big. See photos, the third is the base on Smittbilt, it's too big. The jack will fit but not the base which you can change or buy a new base. I used my Hi-Lift base for photos. The forge is black, it has been varnished. I have 35 inch tires, they are 33 1/2 wide and there is a clear inch between them and the bolt. There are holes for a lock, but this will not prevent anyone from unscrewing the hinge, just bypassing casual thieves. Distance is not a problem - the window is not a problem if you forget to close it. The plastic covers are removable and you can drill through them to install the gaskets and screws, just make sure they snap 1 inch. There are protrusions so make sure they line up when marking.
