The strap itself is of high quality. The main reason I bought a metal band was that all plastic bands would eventually break. All would break at the clasp that connects the bracelet to the Fitbit. All other cheaper metal bands I've bought have had the plastic part replaced with a metal part. This strap keeps the small plastic parts but costs almost 4-5 times more depending on the color choice. I was very disappointed with it but will keep it to try. The documents provided with the group state that the links are removable. That's right, but it's not easy to do. This involves bending some parts back and forth and without the right tools you will have a hard time or possibly damage the tape. Overall a good harness but not in this price range given the alternatives.
